Jordan P. Jenkins III Bones of the Earth is the love child that Mastodon would have if Mastodon made love with Mastodon! there are sick riffs and cave man vocals. much respect for this record. Favorite track: Meridian Beast.

Zakk Stephenson Harrowing, yet Cathartic. Musically to me this EP is blend of earnest pain, the bleakness of self-loathing and isolation, and the beauty of self-actualizing artistic creation. It both manages to be grim, and foreboding, yet at times a swelling, singing well of emotional bliss. Worth listening to more than a few times in a row. Favorite track: Roots in Agony.

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
